swanctl --redirect

Synopsis

swanctl --redirect --ike <name> | --ike-id <id> | --peer-ip <ip|subnet|range>
                   --peer-id <id|wildcards> | --gateway <ip|fqdn>

swanctl --redirect --help

Description

This swanctl subcommand redirects an IKE SA to an alternative VPN gateway.

Options

--ike      (-i)  redirect by IKE_SA name
--ike-id   (-I)  redirect by IKE_SA unique identifier
--peer-ip  (-p)  redirect by client IP
--peer-id  (-d)  redirect by IKE_SA name
--gateway  (-g)  target gateway (IP or FQDN)

--raw      (-r)  dump raw response message
--pretty   (-P)  dump raw response message in pretty print
--debug    (-v)  set debug level, default: 1
--options  (-+)  read command line options from file
--uri      (-u)  service URI to connect to
--help     (-h)  show usage information

Examples

  • Redirect the IKE SA of peer with IP address 192.168.0.100 to VPN gateway with IP address 192.168.0.1

$ swanctl --redirect --peer-ip 192.168.0.100 --gateway 192.168.0.1

redirect completed successfully
  • Redirect the IKE SA of peer dave@strongswan.org to VPN gateway moon.strongswan.org

$ swanctl --redirect --peer-id dave@strongswan.org --gateway moon.strongswan.org

redirect completed successfully
