Synopsis

swanctl --version [--daemon]

swanctl --version --help

Description

This swanctl subcommand lists the either the version of the installed strongSwan software or the currently running charon daemon.

Options

--daemon   (-d)  query daemon version

--raw      (-r)  dump raw response message
--pretty   (-P)  dump raw response message in pretty print
--debug    (-v)  set debug level, default: 1
--options  (-+)  read command line options from file
--uri      (-u)  service URI to connect to
--help     (-h)  show usage information

Examples

  • List strongSwan software version

$ swanctl --version

strongSwan swanctl 5.9.5dr2

  • List software and kernel version of running charon daemon

$ swanctl --version --daemon

strongSwan 5.9.4 charon-systemd (Linux, 5.11.0-44-generic, x86_64)
